The literature clearly shows that most acquisitions are not successful because of issues related to people and cultural mismatches. Both pre- and post-closing, great attention is paid to financial issues and the product or service value chain. From a Talent perspective, the leadership team is scrutinized at a very high level. There is almost always no real attention paid to Critical Talent Success Factors whether Synergy-Based or Competency-Based. Nor is attention paid to either Cultural Compatibility or Management Assessment – although both can be measured and strategically assessed. The Crenshaw team uses proprietary tools and processes to look at all these Critical Talent-related elements.  Our process exposes Talent-related risks and develops Talent-focused strategies to achieve all three synergies supporting the business case: revenue synergies, transformation synergies and cost synergies.
