Leader, Directorship Practice
Rita leads Crenshaw’s Directorship practice. A professional Director herself, Rita sits on the boards of PetSmart, Dresser-Rand, and Council of the Americas, and is Chairman of the Board of Pro Mujer, a provider of micro loans and health care/education to poor women in South America. As a corporate director, Rita sits on several committees, including Audit, Compensation, and Governance. Before becoming a professional Director, she was with MeadWestvaco, where she was President of the $1B+ Consumer Packaging Group. Rita was honored as NACD’s Inaugural NFP Director of the Year in 2007. Educated in the US and abroad, Rita received her Diploma from the University of Geneva and a BA with Honors in Psychology from Smith College. She graduated from INSEAD’S Aims program and is a graduate of SEP (Stanford’s Executive Program).
