Executive Advisor and Forward Assessment Consultant
Gary is an Executive Advisor and Forward Assessment Consultant and leads our HR Consulting practice. A licensed practicing psychologist and psychoanalyst, Gary has advised senior executives, officers, and corporate directors in organizations from start-ups to multinationals. He has 20 years of experience in executive assessment, competency modeling, succession planning, and coaching leaders and executive teams. He holds a PhD in counseling psychology, and a Masters in international affairs, psychological counseling, and counseling psychology, all from Columbia. With a BS in foreign service from Georgetown, Gary has extensive international experience (particularly in India). He has served on the faculties of Columbia University, Yeshiva University, the National Institute for Psychotherapies, the Institute for the Psychoanalytic Study of Subjectivity, and L'École Française des Attachés de Presse. He has worked in retail and consumer goods, financial services, manufacturing, health care, pharmaceuticals, and professional services and has published numerous articles on leadership development topics, ranging from the effects of "groupthink" at Enron to the impact of international assignments on executives and their families.
